I have heard that prostitution is the oldest profession in
the world. The majority of people abhor it; in fact, it is outlawed in many
countries; yet it happens right under our noses. I always view prostitution in
terms of willing buyer and willing seller terms, unless the prostitution is not
voluntary.
In her article, Melisa Farley’s talks about why prostitutes
end up doing what they do: many of them were sexually abused when they were
children. It makes sense that they would suffer PTSD because the experience is
traumatic, and reminds them of the abuse they went through.

ReplyDeleteYes I heard that also, and your are right if someone is will to sell there is always someone else willing to buy. But the sad part is the not all are will to sell themselves. The innocent children that have one other way out are the ones who suffer. I dont think we will ever find a soultion to this dilema.
It was great being in class with you. I will miss our trips to Whole Foods :)
